Abstract

In September 2000 the Chilean Ministry of Health started a retrieval program of the valuable cultural assets – both tangible and intangible - of the national public health care system. Program activities – 2000-2011 – are described. The personal and social responsibilities involved and the challenges for the future are discussed in detail.
